Curatorial conviction.
Market foresight.

JSP Art Advisory was founded on a simple premise: that the most meaningful collections are built through rigorous research, genuine aesthetic commitment, and the patience to acquire with conviction — not reaction.

We specialize in artists whose contributions have been historically underestimated by the market, and whose work holds enduring cultural resonance. Our clients collect with purpose.

Our practice grew from over a decade operating NOHO Modern Gallery in Los Angeles — where we developed the dealer relationships, market fluency, and curatorial eye that now serve our advisory clients.

Jeremy Petty is an art advisor and former gallerist based in Bordeaux, France, working with collectors across the US and Europe. He founded JSP Art Advisory following more than a decade running NOHO Modern Gallery in Los Angeles.

What We Do

01

Acquisition Advisory

Identification, evaluation, and negotiation of works across emerging, mid-career, and historical categories. We advise only on works we would acquire ourselves.

02

Collection Strategy

Development of a long-term acquisition logic tailored to your aesthetic sensibility, budget, and intentions — whether for personal significance, legacy, or both.

03

Research & Due Diligence

Provenance research, authentication assessment, condition review, and market contextualization. We deliver the documentation and analysis that informed decisions require.

How We Work

How we
work.

01
Understand the Collector First

Every advisory relationship begins with a serious conversation about what you already own, what you're drawn to, and what you want your collection to become.

02
Research Without Shortcuts

Context — historical, cultural, biographical — is inseparable from our assessment of value. We do not rely on auction data alone.

03
Identify Before the Market

Our track record is built on early conviction. We identify artists whose significance has not yet been fully reflected in institutional or market recognition — and act with patience and precision.

04
Handle Everything Else

Negotiation, due diligence, documentation, shipping, installation — we manage every detail so your relationship with the work remains undistracted and meaningful.
